1. When a whole house needs clearing, you shouldn't have to do it alone

Estates, move-outs, downsizing and that garage you've avoided for years. We clear the whole place in one visit and treat what's inside like it matters, because it does.

A house cleanout usually comes at a hard time. A parent has passed, a move is coming fast, or a rental needs to be empty before the next family arrives.

Second Life Cleanouts takes on the whole job, room by room, from the attic boxes to the shed out back. Set aside what you're keeping, and we'll handle the rest at whatever pace you need.

For a family settling an estate, the hardest part can be picturing good furniture at the dump. That's the part we can help with most.

2. Cleanouts we take on

Any home that needs to go from full to empty, one room or every room.

  • Estate cleanouts after a loss, at your family's pace
  • Whole-house cleanouts before a sale or a listing
  • Move-out cleanouts for owners, renters and landlords
  • Downsizing help when the kids don't want the furniture
  • Garage, attic, shed and spare-room cleanouts
  • Everything in one visit: furniture, appliances, boxes and household goods

Let us know about these. A few things change how we plan the day, so mention them early.

  • Paint, chemicals and pool supplies
  • Pianos, hot tubs or very heavy safes
  • Heavy buildup or a home that's been closed up a long time
  • Items the family is still deciding on

3. A cleanout, step by step

We go at your pace. Nothing leaves until you've said it can.

  1. Walk us through it. Text photos of each room, or ask Jordan to come look. Tell us what stays and anything you're unsure about.
  2. Get a clear, free estimate. Priced by load volume and the drive, with no pressure to decide that day.
  3. We clear it, room by room. Everything goes in one visit. We sort by hand as we work, setting usable furniture and appliances apart.
  4. Broom clean, with a note. You get before-and-after photos and a short note on where the good things went.

4. Your mama's good things can still help somebody

The dining set, the recliner, the washer that still runs: usable pieces go to local thrift stores that serve families right here. If something needs an easy repair, we fix it first.

For a lot of families, that's what makes letting go possible. Read more about our fix-then-donate practice and what happens after pickup.

5. Cleanouts close to home

We're based in Denham Springs and clear homes across Livingston, East Baton Rouge and West Baton Rouge parishes. See house cleanouts in Denham Springs or home and estate clear-outs in Baton Rouge. Whenever you're ready, ask for a free cleanout estimate.

House & Estate Cleanout Questions

1. How much does a house cleanout cost?

A cleanout is priced by how much is going and the drive to the home. Photos of each room are usually enough for a free estimate. For a full estate, Jordan can come look in person.
