Second Life Cleanouts is a small junk removal and cleanout business based in Denham Springs, Louisiana, owned and run by Jordan Mercier. When you ask us for an estimate, you trust us with your name, your number and photos of your home. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

In this policy, "we," "us" and "our" mean Second Life Cleanouts. "You" means anyone who visits secondlifecleanouts.com or contacts us through it.

The short version

• We only collect what you choose to send us through an estimate form, a call, a text or an email.
• We use it to answer your request, schedule the job and keep you posted.
• We do not sell your information, and we do not run ads that track you.
• Appointment texts only go to people who opt in. Reply STOP any time to end them.
• You can ask us to see, correct or delete what we have about you.

What we collect

Most of what we have comes straight from you, and only when you decide to reach out.

Information you give us

Our estimate forms ask for:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• The town where the job is
• A description of what needs to go
• Photos you choose to upload
• Your choice about receiving text messages (SMS consent)

If you call, text or email us instead, we keep the details you share in that conversation, including any photos and the address where the work will happen once we schedule a visit.

Information collected automatically

The website itself collects very little. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and general traffic (such as which pages are visited and the type of device) without cookies and without building a profile of you. We also use Google Search Console, which reports how our pages show up in Google search results. It gives us totals, not information about individual visitors.

Like any website, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

How we use your information

We use what you send for one purpose: helping you with the job you asked about.

• To review your photos and description and give you a free estimate
• To call, text or email you about your request
• To schedule your appointment and send reminders or updates about it
• To keep simple records of the work we did
• To understand, in general terms, which pages on the site are useful so we can improve them

We do not use your photos in our marketing without asking you first.

Where your information goes

We keep the circle small and only use services we need to run the business.

• GoHighLevel (LeadConnector). Our estimate forms are provided by GoHighLevel, also known as LeadConnector. What you submit is stored in our customer records system on their platform so we can respond to you and send appointment texts.
• Cloudflare. Hosts this website and provides our cookieless analytics.
• Google Search Console. Shows us search performance in summary form.
• Phone and email providers. Carry the calls, texts and emails you send us.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people or property. If the business is ever sold or transferred, customer records would go with it under the same promises made here.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. There are no advertising networks or tracking pixels on this site.

Text messages (SMS)

Texting is the easiest way to get photos to us and hear back about your appointment, so here is exactly how it works.

• Opt-in. We only send text messages to people who agree to receive them, for example by checking the SMS consent box on our estimate form or by texting us first.
• What we send. Messages about your estimate request, appointment scheduling, reminders, arrival updates and follow-up about your job.
• Message frequency varies depending on your request and appointment.
• Message and data rates may apply, based on your mobile plan.
• Reply STOP to any message to opt out. We will send one message confirming you are unsubscribed, and then no more.
• Reply HELP for help, or call us at (225) 605-8607.
• Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. You can still get an estimate and hire us by phone or email.
• No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the service providers that deliver our messages.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Cookies

Our own site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The estimate form, which loads from GoHighLevel, may set its own cookies or use local storage on its domain so the form works. Our cookie policy has the details and explains how to manage cookies in your browser.

How long we keep it

We hold on to your information only as long as it is useful for the reason you gave it to us.

• Estimate requests that do not turn into a job are typically deleted within about 24 months.
• Records of completed jobs are kept as long as we need them for scheduling follow-up, bookkeeping and tax purposes.
• If you opt out of texts, we keep a record of the opt-out so we do not text you again by mistake.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as described below.

Your choices

You stay in control of what we have and how we contact you.

• See or correct your information. Ask, and we will tell you what we have and fix anything that is wrong.
• Delete your information. Ask, and we will delete it, except for records we have to keep by law.
• Stop texts. Reply STOP to any message.
• Stop emails. Reply and ask us to stop, or email secondlifecleanouts.biz@gmail.com.
• Limit cookies. Use your browser settings, as explained in our cookie information.

We will not treat you differently for making any of these requests.

Keeping it safe

We use reputable providers with their own security programs, keep access to customer records limited to the people running the business, and send the site over a secure HTTPS connection. No system is perfect, so please do not send sensitive details such as bank or card numbers through the estimate form.

Children

This website is meant for adults arranging service at a property. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

If we link to another website, such as a thrift store or a city page, that site has its own privacy practices. We are not responsible for how other sites handle information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the site.
