Everyone should be able to find out what we do and ask for help clearing a home, including people who use a screen reader, get around by keyboard, zoom in or need more time. We built this website with that in mind, and we keep working on it.

The standard we aim for

Our goal is for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These are the widely used guidelines for making websites usable by people with disabilities.

What we have done

Accessibility was part of the build from the first page, not an add-on.

  • Keyboard access. Menus, links, buttons and forms on our pages can be reached and used with a keyboard alone.
  • Skip link. A "skip to content" link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past the menu.
  • Visible focus. A clear outline shows which link or button is selected as you move through the page.
  • Readable colors. Text and background color pairs were tested against WCAG AA ratios, and color is never the only way information is shown.
  • Text alternatives. Meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Clear structure. Each page has one main heading and a logical heading order, with labeled navigation areas.
  • Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, our scroll animations are turned off.
  • Comfortable tap targets. Buttons and key links are at least 48 pixels tall so they are easy to tap on a phone.
  • Zoom and resize. Pages reflow for small screens and can be zoomed without losing content.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you about the gaps than have you run into them.

  • The estimate form. Our free estimate form is provided by a third party, GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), and loads inside a frame from their site. We do not control its code, so parts of it, such as photo upload or error messages, may not work as well with assistive technology as the rest of our pages.
  • Photos. Some photos on the site are illustrative. Alt text describes what is in them, but it may not capture every detail.

If any part of the form gives you trouble, you never have to use it. Everything it does, we can do with you by phone, text or email.

Get help or an alternate format

If something on this site does not work for you, or you would like information in another format, such as a phone call walking through your estimate or details by email in plain text, just ask.

It helps to tell us the page you were on and what happened, but it is not required. We will respond as soon as we can and work with you to find a way that works.
